She uses a multimedia approach. She says she likes using acrylic craft grade paint because they have a nice flowing consistency and they're really cheap. That had never occurred to me but she's quite right. 
Looks like she was also using a mix of watercolor and pens too.
A pretty impressive finished product. Ronnie commented about how sketchbooks offer more creative freedom due to the fact that there's no stress to create a "finished" product. Pressure can interfere with the creative process. Sometimes we have to trick ourselves out of that pressure.
And here is my current project. Believe it or not this mess of green foam and yellow terry cloth will be transformed into a puppet. I've got a long way to go.See you next Friday!
